John Walsham PHF

John Walsham was today awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship award.  This is the highest award that can bestowed on a Rotarian and recognises John’s continued service since 1973.  Despite being a member for 48 years John is still an active member and you will still see him walking the streets of Thurrock as we take Santa around on his Sleigh.

We had hoped to present the award to John at our 90th Charter dinner in October this year.  Unfortunately that dinner had to be cancelled due to Coronvirus.  We therefore made the presentation with just a few friends (within social distancing guidelines) at Orsett Hall today.

No one knows the club better than John being descended from Woody Walsham who was a founder member.  In fact there has always been a Walsham as a member of our club.

This is a well deserved award and we know that John will continue to serve the club as he has done over many years.
