Speaker highlights work of Sea Cadets
The answer is the same as we always did - get them out there doing stuff which stimulates, educates, exercises and teaches them how to integrate into society. Oh and teach them how to use real weapons!
How cool is this? Bob very kindly sent me an online article regarding a discussion we had about submarines and look the sea cadets even get involved with these too!
'Sea Cadets on duty at naming ceremony
Over 50 cadets and volunteers from Whitehaven, Barrow-in-Furness and Workington units were invited to the official naming ceremony of HMS Artful, Britain’s latest nuclear-powered submarine, on Friday 20 September at Devonshire Dock Hall in Cumbria. Cadets and volunteers lined the guest route, which thousands of people attended including First Sea Lord, Admiral Sir George Zambellas KCB DSC DL and his wife Lady Amanda.'
