Thurrock Food Bank gets much needed Rotary help
President Raj hands over a cheque for £250 to assist with collection and distribution of food parcels
Following a plea from the Thurrock Food Bank to the members of Grays Thurrock Rotary Club it was unanimously decided to donate money to the sum of £250 to this very worthy cause. This money will help the much needed work to continue.
Thurrock Food Bank is one of 200 established across the UK. The Food Bank provides local families and individuals with essential food supplies at a time when they need them most, covering the days or sometimes weeks before other parts of the social care infrastructure can come into play It's all purely voluntary.
