Membership is more than attracting new members, its also about retaining those you already have and on 25th September, the club congratulated all 15 members who had reached at least 25 years of membership, with the presentation of a framed certificate and a letter of congratulation from Rotary International.
All 15 members had the following in common, they were fully committed to the Club continuously giving their time and energy; they had all received a PHF award, all chaired one or more of the Clubs’ committees, all been on Club Council and many had been a past Club president.
Club President, Paul Smith said, “I think we sometimes forget that the real strength of our club is that it has such tremendous member loyalty and long service and its thanks to the efforts and support of the members we honour today that the club is as successful as it has been.”
Those two members with over 50 years membership will shortly be presented also with an engraved glass and in due course other members will be similarly honoured when they reach 25 years membership with the Club.
