Biggles and his chums Algy and Ginger have been at it again
Three members of Grays Rotary Club took part in the first fly-in of the year organised by the UK branch of the International Fellowship of Flying Rotarians (IFFR)
The three flew from Thurrock to Turweston close to the Silverstone race track where they met with 25 other Rotarians from all over the UK.
Corin Whymark, Mark Dvorkin and Alan Peaford made the 40 minute flight despite high winds and enjoyed a lunch in the new tower at the former WWII airfield and then visited the UK’s Light Aircraft Association HQ hangars which included a restored Hurricane and a number of other classic aircraft.
Grays Thurrock has the highest number of IFFR members in any one club from anywhere in the world. IFFR is open to any Rotarians with an enthusiasm for aviation.
